App Name: History Tools
Platform: iOS (iPad & iPhone)
App Description: This app allows users to look up specific events and people on certain days, ranging from births, deaths, events and even holidays. The app is not just United States based, users can get information globally. Its can be used as a quick fact finder, help with school projects or even a tool to help you plan your vacations around.
Relevance: The app is can be used both in the classroom and for anyone that has an interest in history. Students' can use the app during class to look up births and deaths of historical figures and events that happened on a specific date globally.
Customization: The customization level is not high but one of the key features that gives some type of personalized feel is that it allows users to input important dates in their lives, where they have traveled, birthdays and even a notes section to keep track of things they found interesting.
Feedback: The app does not give feedback to users.
Thinking Skills: App is more factual based, it is very straight forward. The only thinking skills involved are basic such as reading and memorizing.
Usability: Students will be able to open and navigate through the app with ease. There shouldn't many questions for the teacher when using the app.
Engagement: The app has a lively design and can be engaging to students, very likely that it will be used both under teacher instruction and because it can be used on the iPhone something that they students an check out on their free time.
Sharing: There is no sharing option available but information that is saved can be screenshot.

Platform: iOS and AndroidApp Description: The app will allow students to observe both land and political maps at the palm of their hand. It comes with multiple categories (historical, scientific and geography) that users can explore freely.
Relevance: This app can be used in most Social Studies classrooms, for lectures, homework and assistance with test review.
Customization: There is no option to customize the app.
Feedback: The app does not offer any feedback to users.
Thinking Skills: A very basic amount of thinking skills are needed: Reading and Memorization, analyzing maps.
Usability: Very easy to use, students don't need to be tech savvy to get into the application.
Engagement: Students will be engaged while using the app, there are many maps to go through with lots of information for kids to dive into.
Sharing: There are no sharing options available.

History in Pictures is a great account to follow, the account allows followers to see not only read about history but see it. Students will find this account interesting because it shares pictures from decade to decade, it will definitely be hard to stop scrolling through. This account can also be useful for sources when doing research reports and presentations. DON'T FORGET TO CITE WHERE YOU GOT IT FROM!!!!
